extended until 20 october 2018
for the museum of art in celle with its collection by robert simon, the light artist franz betz has created a luminous installation for the moat of the palace using truck hoses and light rods. like a string of pearls, a swarm of light signs illuminates the water. through the installation, the popular motive ‘celler schloss’ changes its appearance: the floating line of light gently swings back and forth in the water – shines, flashes and creates delightful effects.
opening: thursday, 23rd august 2018, 7pm at the palace garden in celle
the installation can be explored during the day and at night from 9pm to midnight. a visit is especially worthwhile on warm summer evenings. the installation can be seen until 23rd september 2018.
